Default do I have a fire risk? VR6 commodore

I loosened the LHS of the pipe behind the alternator trying to get the regulator out. The pipe does not seem to have reseated as well as originally. do I have a fire risk? can I get it reseated easily?

you mean the rubber boot that covers the big fat + wire at the back of the alternator? you just have to fiddle with it
