Default Brand new gearbox not able to drive properly after 200km of travelling

    So heres the G.O

I had a slipping box , took it to a reputable shop to have it repaired... $2043 , which included a HD band and a high performance servo ( apparently better than the corvette servo i asked for ) .. Driving into town to a tyre shop , everything was fine. Parked on a slight slop.. nose facing up.

started car and noticed engine light was on.. NEVER had it come on before.
Stopped car , and restarted. Still on.

Put it in gear and tried to drive forward. woudnt move , it was like the brakes were jammed on , so i put it into low and the car moved.. extremely slowly.. didnt matter how far i put my foot down , it didnt want to move and faster.
got onto the street , tried reverse , nothing wrong with it.. back into 3 , struggled to move forward. into low , struggled to go , but did go..

I dont think it is going into low gear , as taking off with stick pointing at 1 i could easily get 60kph , it was more like it was taking off in 2nd..

needless to say.. it was towed home .

anyone know what would have caused it to do what it did?? box has only done about 200km since fully reconditioned

    cheers for help in advance

Check for any error codes.Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)This will confirm any errors that cause limp home mode to be activated.

listen to delcowizzid....!! he knows what hes on about, i had the exact same thing a while back. Mine went in to limp home mode, turned out to be faulty wiring loom inside the auto, replaced with new loom and all was good again.
Take it back to who ever did your repair and get them to fix it.
You will set off better if you select 2nd gear. Like delco said if you try in drive it will set off in 3rd and feel like its slipping

A diagnosis is irrelevant - your only course of action is to take it back to where you had the work done. Try not to do anything to further damage it (although the fault may be something simple)

    Well.............

apparently a wire had shorted out somewhere in the loom to the box... $160 to repair it... not replace.. repair... not very happy about this... it was obviously their work which caused it to short , 280,000km and no problems.. then all of a sudden problems after having something repaired.

dont they know who i am????
