18's on a VS statey

G'day all,
I was offered a set of CV8Z rims at a reasonable price.
I am wondering if these will fit my VS Caprice?....or will i need to modify the guards?

yes they will fit., no you wll not have to roll guards.
Most barges going around have bigger than 18s on then anyway.

nah width is fine, if u go 245's or bigger then u will have a problem

You guys really dont want to see my dirty statey! LOL

I was looking for a set of 17's, because 16" rubber is rediculiously expensive.
These came up out of the blue.
I still need to put 2 tyres on them, but it's still cheaper than replacing the rubber on my 16's.

I'm not sure what the rims are.....but they fit OK. Rubber is 235/40/18.


Edit: After putting a few k's on it, i'm wondering why i hadn't done it sooner!
The mud flaps dont drag over speed bumps anymore! That's got to be a good thing!
There is less body roll with the lower profile tyres, & the steering feels better.
It's nicer to drive.
