problem with dash
ok i have a problem bout 2 days ago my little bro aka the moron he saw the paperclip trick page bookmarked on my computer and he decided to try it out when i got home that night i went to start my car and the dash wouldn't display how many km's , i turned the lights the heater turns on speedo doesn't work non of the dash info comes up, i ask him if he touched my car , the moron connected earth with the battery pin , so now what could be my problem?
If you have checked all the fuses under the dash and bonnet,and didn't find anything, then check the fusible links under the bonnet just below the fuses and relays box,they usually have a small cover over them,they are square things and are different colours and have a small window on the top of them,just check them through the little window like a fuse,if one is blown replace it with one the same colour.

yer ive done all that tested all the relays and fuses still cant work it out
The 12 volt feed to the ALDL connector has to go through either a fuse or fusible link.I'd be rechecking them.Also how sure are you that he shorted the 12v feed and not something else?Id check to see if there is 12 volts still available at ALDL connector pin 16(bottom far right pin)If power is available there ,then its probably something else that he has fried.
I just checked out a vr aldl connector and the 12v feed wire is orange/white.I then had a look through the gregorys workshop manual wiring diagrams,and the orange/white wires go to the interior lighting etc and they all go through fuse number 1 (15 amp) under the dash.Recheck that fuse.Theres a good chance the 12v aldl feed comes from that same circuit, having the same coloured wiring.

yer the fuse wasn't broken but when i pulled it out again i noticed that the clips were black an one side was shorter than the other
