anyone know what type of power figures i could expect from either of these 2 , i know theres different ratio rockers and different cams but thats as far as im educated on them so far :P
car has cai/ delcowizzid tune / stage 1.5 shift kit / extractors and a 2.5 inch catback exhaust and its an ecotec with 205 on the clock.
so im deciding whats next on my list of upgrades so any suggestions would be appreciated ( yes i know get a v8 but thats not what im working with here )
personally i wouldnt put roller rockers on ur old ecotec,
increased compression means more of a workload for the engine.
if its not in really good nick your engine wont last as long as it would without...
go roller rockers and cam, should see a few kw gains...there was a bloke on here that only put a cam in his ecotech and he got in the high 120rwkw's, dunno how big the cam was, but you could hear it when it was untuned, i havent seen it in a while and its since been tuned so might sound a tad different
Vortech V1 supercharger : 10psi : Intercooled : 3.89 Mini-spool : VT Big Brake conversion : Shift kitted auto : B&M Shifter
My VS CLUBBY!
237.2RWKW - 318.1HP - 926.4 NM
Skip the rockers, just get a big cam in it and good springs, with the ecotec go one cam bigger than you think you want, then go one bigger again
what roller rockers so i use in my VS Calais?
see the cost of the cam is quite small, its installation which is the killer. remember a cam by itself aint gonna get u the figures u where hoping, get compression upped as well. the more rwkw u want, the more you have to touch, the more u touch the more it costs.. a vicious cycle
