Default Help Needed VS Commodore Timing

    Hello everyone,

My vs broke down last week, and i suspected it was the fuel pump died as it was loosing power and made strange noise in the engine as it was leaning. So yesterday i bough my self a new fuel pump and replaced the one one with it. In the manual it mentioned some sort of special tool for the fuel return line so i looked everywhere for it and no one sells it. So i use 2 coat hanger wire and pushed down on it and got it off. Anyway when i start my car, it runs again however it is miss firing and rough idle so i suspect the timing is out, does anyone know how to tune the car?
as it doesnt have a distributor, it looks like coils. Unlike my VL turbo is has distributor and all i have to do is turn it when using the timing light.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

I doubt the timing is out ... more likely that one of the coils has died or a lead isn't on properly.

check ur leads and coils. these things dont go out of timing cause its all controlled by the ECU. sounds to me like uve dropped a cylinder or 2
