ok well mine is making my car shake a little but shakes a lot with the a/c on
my question is can i still drive the car for a few weeks till i can afford to get it fixed?
lol will it fall of or something?
Replace it ASAP. I would not recommend driving it.
i dont want to sound like an idiot but what will happen to if i dont change it
in the short term(2 weeks and maybe 300ks)
only reason i cant change it atm is im on end of year holidays till next monday so money is tight till i go backto work![]()
The rubber could separate from the pulley outer. Possible death of radiator and anything else that gets in its way. Not to mention the HUGE repair bill.
It can be changed yourself with a bit of difficulty - I found this with a search:
Best Way - Tech Tips on Installing a Harmonic Balancer on a 350 Chevy | eHow.com
ah thanks guys might just park it till i can get it fixed![]()
just changed mine yesterday, almost all the rubber was off.
took like a hour at most. not a hard job
Agreed easy job. Biggest cost wil be the balancer which cost's around $270. Sugest you change the crank angle sensor at the same time to avoid hassles later on.
This bloke has a Clubsport which is a V8 not a V6 with a CAS - harmonic balancers for V8's are fairly cheap...under $50 on Ebay: HOLDEN V8 253,304,308, 5.0 & 5.7L HARMONIC BALANCER - eBay, Other Car Parts, Accessories, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 08-Jan-10 10:53:19 AEDST)
thank guys i changed it yesterday
its like a new car so smooth
