My VR "thuds" (similar to hitting a series of centre road reflectors with the tires) when I accelerate between 90 and 100 kph. I don't know if it's "missing" and whether that is fuel injection or spark problems but it is a worry. What migh it be? how do I find out? any answers?
wat is ur car like? good condition? ks?
check for error codes first, see if anything comes up
Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
if nothing shows up on error codes, probably have to start usual diagnosis...
leads... plugs... coil packs... dfi
Could be the TCC (torque converter clutch) slipping or not dis-engaging properly although first I'd check as per VSPantha's post.
i had this problem, its the torque converter (probably got a crack in it or something and might be throwing loose bits of metal through your gearbox). Get it fixed asap or you will have the problem i had after leaving it for a year and have the car start to bunny hop :P
When i grow up... i want to be young again
i had a problem like this also, it was one of my coil packs, replaced it and it runs smoothly now. hope that helps.
to KOMNHOR - vehicle has 250000km but is running very smoothly apart from this problem.
if it doesnt do it under 80km/h and only 90km/h-100km/h when ya put ya foot down to overtake does it kick back a gear or just start thudding/shuddering?

I'll agree with the coil pack and DFI module, I had this exact same issue with my car, I changed plugs, leads, fuel filter etc and in the end the coil packs were stuffed...
I would suggest doing those... although it's expensive... so get some second hand ones from a wrecker and see how you go!
old wagon had this prob. maybe a tailshaft on the way out thats wat mine was i rekon from memory anyhow. next time u drive as u accelerate between 20 and 60 try to feel a vibration noise
