    Default VS St8tsmn Climate/Cruise

Recently both climate and cruise stopped working in our VS Stato. Air Con still works on manual, but nothing on auto. Could both probs be connected through the BCM? if so how do I read error codes for the BCM, the check engine light is not showing any probs. John

from memory to test the climate control unit hold AMB and press OFF, the display should all light up testing the display output itself, press AMB again and then up down through each test, do it with the car running, once through the tests press AMB to move to the next test. It should test Aircon, cycling between vents etc etc. I dont have the book with me at the moment but if you tell me which tests dont do anything i can look it up for you, i wont have access to the book for a week or two, sorry moving house at the moment.

Does the green CRS light turn on the dash when enable cruise? if you hold the set button does the orange light come on? If it's just not setting and holding the speed then it's the button behind the brake peddle that needs adjusting.

The1, that climate testing is some great info, Rep points for you.

On the cruise control. ou may find that the wire in the indicator stalk is broken, as i had this in my statesman, i ended up just buying a new stalk on ebay,a nd fitted it, and i now have cruise control again.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.

Thanx to both, Testing the climate was interesting, but I have no idea what the numbers mean, so to The1, when you get sorted and find your book, the codes would be appreciated. My green cruise light comes on, but the yellow doesn't when the button is pushed, will still look at the adjustment, but thanks to HSV I now have something else to look for. John

as noted before it's either button adjustment behind the brake or broken wire in the indicator stalk which is common. Ill try and get the doco as soon as i can for you on climate control.

Again many thanks to The1, your help is certainly appreciated, have printed your notes and will be able to check system. To VrWagz, I have noted that we have 1 bulb in the stoplights out, will replace and see if that was the cause. Again many thanx. John
