my vr keeps getting error code 66 67 81 82 first took to the mechanic fixed solenoid, second time wiring loom now its blowing the trans fuse every time i put a new one in HELP
Maybe the loom has an internal short or is not the correct loom for the VR - VR has 13 pins, VS has 14 from memory.
All you can do is check the trans wiring for bare or chaffed wires,if you find nothing,I'd be seeing a auto trans specialist.I looked up these errors, they all point to auto trans problems.
iv'e just taken it back to the mechanic who did the loom, hopefully its just a faulty wire, it's just that last time i was there it cost me $500, and nothing appears to be fixed
with that amount of codes coming up its defo an electrical fault.. more than likely a trapped or broken wire, or the loom has come unplugged on top of the gearbox. That will of happened when your mechanic was working on it last time.. he shouldnt be charging you to fix it this time if thats the case.
and certainly not $500!!!!!!
all fixed some wire needed repairing in the bell housing or something, only $110 this time thank god
That is more than likely the mechanics fault ,especially since hes already"fixed" the wiring once already,You should have made them fix it for free, because they have either caused it last time you were there or didnt fix it the first time.
i bet he didnt fix it correct in the 1st place and has charged you for the pleasure...!
