hey does any1 know how 2 fit a gearbox into A 1994 vr wagon ?????
You need to expand your question a bit more - like do you mean carrying it in the back of the wagon....is it manual or auto etc etc otherwise you will not get the answers you want.![]()
if you live in nth Brisbane, I know a bloke who will fit it cheaper than anyone.
If it's an auto, the torque convertor has to be spun and clicked in 3 times, or you wont get your drive or gears right. To hard for me..... pay someone!
bs bout the 3 clicks mate, ive changed 20 gearboxs of these for mates and people and customers, no clicks needed, just make sure the splines are lined up or you will bust your oil pump
Vs eco 3.8, extractors, 2.75" exhaust, roller rockers, cammed, bored out 20, t5 manual, rolling on king springs all way round with monroe gt shocks all way round, every door has a ding but looks can be very deceaving
The torque converter has to be clicked back so it slides into its proper place.Just read on here about the people who have stuffed up and not done this. They end up f#$^*g their trans.
well all i do is leave tourque converter on motor, spin it till the splines are horizontal, then get my spare tourque converter insert it all the way into the gearbox, then turn this until the splines are horizontal, take it out, then put the gear box in and it slides straight in, as ive said ive done heaps of gearboxs and never had problems doing it this way
