Hi all,
Have searched the How To's but can't see anything on this.
I think we all know how the front seats tend to "lean" towards the centre console. My drivers seat isn't too bad but the passenger side is worse.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem ?
Thanks.
The leaning in is the mount tab bending up allowing the seat to flex. I have a drawing of is some place....

^^ this is a side view of what the seat frame will look like. Take the front 2 seat bolts out and loosen the 2 rear. You should be able to bent the tab back to be in line with the seat runner.

Thanks 88GreenVN. Will give it a go and let you know how it went.
Is there a more permanent solution for those of us who are a bit more 'cuddly' than the average bear?
The weakest point in the z-bracket appears to be at the first rivet, & this is where I have had 2 break off. Has anyone come up with an idea for a stronger bracket?

Other than using hi-tensile welding rods to add a side gusset plate - probably not alot you can do.
The best way is to not lean back against the seat (like I used to do) when getting in the car. I found it difficault with a busted up back to get in and out of my car and broke a few seats. After working out that I could strip the seat frame and add some weld here and there to fix the cracks, I now use care when getting in and out not to put too much pressure on the fragile seat frame.
So far I've not had to re set the z bracket this past 8 months with the stateman seats now fitted to the VN.
