vr calais manual conversion

hi guys im new here hoping to get some help i have a vr 5l and am getting a vn ss 5sp donor car for the gear box(vn has shaged motor)will the gear box bolt up and will the pedals bolt up im pretty sure the tail shaft will be different,any help would be much appreciated thanks

Yes box and pedals will bolt up fine, tailshafts should be the same too, if not use the vn front half with vr rear half.

Everything under the car will be a straight bolt up, box, tailshaft, and pedal box, IF your car is a SWB model like the VN. The only proble you 'would' have is if you were putting the box into a statesman, where you'd have to do what StreetWagon said.

You might have to look in the ultimate manual conversion thread, as i think there are ECU problems when using the older box in a VR/S...
