    Default VR Revving by itself

    Hey guys,

The electrics in my ute have been acting weird lately, like thismorning nothing would react when i turned the key till i fiddled with a terminal. And twice now in the last 3 days i have started the car and it revs to about 1500 rpm by itself and sticks there. I ran an ecu check and got Error codes 13/24, which is no o2 sensor signal (13) and Vehicle Speed Sensor
(24). Can anyone give us a hand with this? Cheers.
    Holdens go fast...very fast.

Check the wiring going to the oxygen sensor and the vehicle speed sensor. If you cant find anything wrong, then replace the sensors. You can clear the errors and see if they come back.Just disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then after you go for a drive re-check the ecu for errors again to see if they have come back. You might try this before replacing the sensors, just to make sure it was not a one off problem that set the error, which can sometimes happen.

what i dare say, because both of them have gone, the speed sensor which is at the back of the gearbox and the o2 sensor which is on the exaust at the back of the bearbox, the wiring has either melted or come lose and got caught on it, have a look at the back of your gearbox you will see a wiring harness, now im pretty sure vs ecotec have 2 o2 sensors on the exhaust and vr buick only have 1, but either way check the wiring i dare say thats what it is, just funny how two things on the same wiring harness are playing up
Vs eco 3.8, extractors, 2.75" exhaust, roller rockers, cammed, bored out 20, t5 manual, rolling on king springs all way round with monroe gt shocks all way round, every door has a ding but looks can be very deceaving
