VR Calais Chrome Mouldings

My old mans got a very neat VR Calais he bought around a decade ago... only thing thats letting it down atm are those chrome strips that go all the way around the car around his bumpers and across the lower of the doors anyone know which ones im talking about?

my question is can you get these anymore? and where can i source them out ?

i found them on ebay awhile ago but i found that panel beaters and holden can order them in by memory the front bumper and doors and rear bumper cost me $260.00 for genuine molding

dont know about the sides but i got chrome moulds on the front and rear bumpers which cost me $60

I think they sell it in rolls at Supercheap.

iv deen them at the commo wteakers here a few times for about 250 ,is the chrome peeling off or is it going dull?

yeah its peeling off its letting the car dwn.. so yeah il just did bit of searching now i know their around cheers fella's

Digging this thread for some justice, Ive been offered some, but the price for one bumper is more than Rare-spares are chasing.. Keen to know if anyone has had success ordering thru Holden? I'm talking genuine too, none of that junk they sell at supercheap.

I got told at the local Holden dealership that they could maybe get some new bits and pieces but a full set would be hard to come by and not cheap.

i asked a holden dealer like a week or so ago and the guy said they only had one door one left and it was $65 but im not sure bout the front and rear bumpers

what 65 dollars for the silver strip that goes onto the black body moulding strip?? wouldnt rare spares do the correct replacement???

idk but yeah thats wat the holden parts manager told me and thats just for 1 door. i think its outrageous that they can charge so much for that.

No luck yet, but I haven't had a chance to speak to any Holden dealers yet.
I did some digging on a few other forums and one of the guys on here bought the rear bumper mould from Rarespares (this: MOULDING BUMPER REAR CHROME CALAIS VP-VS | Rare Spares Online Shop), and it turned out to be the wrong colour, came to him as a greyish colour I think, instead of the black backing.. so there's that option out the window..

Sucks that they're getting so rare already..
