Default ok BIG OVERHAUL of VR engine, cam, roller rockers and bored

hi got a vr engine been rebuilding, now i have 2 choices, please help me out here guys

    choice number 1

    Crow cam 6071563 (stage 3) $459.00
Yella Terra rockers $759.00 1.7 or 1.8 rocker ratio.
    Gasket set $215
Regrind pistons (i mixed them up oops) $230

    choice number 2

i have been told that cam bearings will eventually spin out and that i have to get the bore checked because things go wrong with them or something along those lines?
this is all from the blokes at port city engines
now they said i can do this if i want, send the engine away to them in victoria,
they will do cam bearings for me,
they will bore out the bore for $210 (20 though),
Hypertec pistons, moly rings graphite gaskets, HP big-end main and cam bearings, for $635+gst = $698.50 inc.
    cam
    yella terra rockers

ALL for $2500, thats incluiding postage and handling, now is this a good price or what? this way the cam bearings have been done and the bores are checked properly.

how much more power increase will i be looking at with choice 2? how much power will i be looking at with choice 1?

as i have pod, cai, extractors, 2 1/2 straight through exaust.

but im gonna do one of them but not sure which one, and also i will need a computer to dial all this in, but tell me what you guys think? power wise im hoping above the 200kw, im hoping, as the cam and roller rockers are 13-17 rwkw increase EACH, so yea thanks again
Vs eco 3.8, extractors, 2.75" exhaust, roller rockers, cammed, bored out 20, t5 manual, rolling on king springs all way round with monroe gt shocks all way round, every door has a ding but looks can be very deceaving

200 at the fly or wheels? With an agressive tune you'll maybe see 200 at the wheels. You should make 200 at the fly pretty easy. It's hard to say though.

wow well i think thats at flywheel i was going on, because they are 130 or 135 kw standard, and i would say that is at the flywheel

    thats alot GREAT haha

whats best way to tune this?

get a custom chip allready programed,
or get a programable computer and take it to a dyno? thanks again

EDIT==you didnt answer my question, would choice 1 or 2 be better? i spose 2 aye?

Pretty sure your car already has a programmable computer. And please, don't get an ebay chip.

IMO Dont bother with high ratio roller rockers if you are getting a decent cam. Just get roller rockers in the standard ratio. Others might tell you different though.

best tune would be to get a mafless tune for it, just a lot more tuning that can be done, but in saying that its also a bit pricey. might wanna talk to delco see what he says

uhhh...explain. VRs run mafless tunes from factory, since they have a MAP sensor

delco is a bloke on here, hes a good tuner and will make you a nice tuned chipped for only a small fee (if you ask nicely). but considering your trying to squeeze every last bit out of the car i would suggest getting it properly dyno tuned.
