does anyone know what the oil pressure should be at idle on a stock vs commodore on gas coz my gauge says about 20 psi is that ok
SKIDS FOR KIDS... IM A KID AND I WANNA SEE A SKID
i read the title and thought 20 psi and no turbo, great idea, supercharger
my old ecotec ran at 60psi idle until it started losing pressure. the reco one i just dropped in sits at 60psi idle now too. both readings taken hot and with new enough oil.
it does state what pressure it should be in a gregories manual, i cant remember offhand but the measurement should be taken at 1900rpm and be xxx kpa. just need to convert the book kpa to psi and theres your figure.
gregories manual states it should be between 375 - 414kpa (54 - 60psi) at 1850rpm
Just remember that oil would change the pressure to
mine sits between 50 and 60 psi
When was your oil filter changed last? That is a low reading.
mine sits on 30 - 31 on idle after being warmed up, is that ok?
The V6 engine needs 20w 50 or greater oil .I use Penrite semi-synthetic 20w 60,Which will stay a bit thicker at high temperatures.I always change my oil and filter every 5000k's.
