i'll be changing auto boxes in the next couple of days
and was wondering if there is a gasket between the box and engine??
apart from oil is there any other bits i'll need?
No there's no gasket between them mate I would service the auto your putting in the car you can get a service kit for super cheap ect for around $20 it has a new filter and sump gasket it ezyer to do this out of the car then just put your dexlll in when the auto is in be very carefull of the cooler lines that come from the pump they are a really pain to get off with out twisting the cooler line hope this helps
thanks mate that was exactly what i was after
already got the service kit so i'll give it a go
Its ezy I can do a full swap in about 6 hours
its all easy apart from those bloody oil lines, they are buggers, i dont take the tourque converter off though, i have a spare one, line the splines on the tourque converter horizontal and then get my spare one, insert that into the gearbox and turn until splines are horizontal and wolla, you dont need to undo your belhouse
