    Question I have some questions about a 94 VR Commodore :P

    I need to know what oil (15w40, 20w40 etc) i should be putting in my 1994 vr commodore as i purchased it without the workshop manual and also what type of brake fluid and tranny fluid as well Hope someone can help me out here

    Penrite HPR 30 Engine oil is good, I have been using it in my VP for years and never had a problem with it. It is a 20W/60
    Castrol TQ DEXRON 3 for your Tranny and PBR Red dot for the brake fluid. I use these and all are good

    I use standard Magnatec on my VY and used to use it on my VN both V6's for years. The VN motor was a litle quieter on Magnatec as it's a lower viscosity and made the valve gear quieter as it was a high milage engine (302,000km when I sold it).

    Thanks guys, Rossbx do you know what viscosity rating the hpr 30 engine oil is? and also what power steering fluid would be a good choice?

    power steering fluid is the same stuff as your tranny oil, and your engine is designed to run 20w50
