    Question Shuddering VS Caprice

Iv just picked up a VS Caprice Series 1 V6, in excelent condition with full service history, which looks like new inside and out. I have one small problem, when i take off slowley there is a slight shudder from the frount, but not when i give it the full stick, any ideas what this might be.

Is the shudder in the engine or thru the steering wheel or the seat.......or the whole car shudders?
A front tyre that is delaminating can cause this problem.

If you dont find anything up with the wheels/tyres etc, then check the engine mounts, they collapse, they dont have to be broken to be stuffed.Check the gearbox mounts and also the rear suspension bushes, when any these parts get old or worn they can throw the tailshaft angles out of whack, and it causes a shudder in the car at certain speeds and loads.Mine was bad,I noticed a huge difference when I replaced the engine mounts, then I replaced the gearbox mounts and the tailshaft centre bearing, and then the rear bushes, and now there is no shudder or vibration at all.smoooooth as.
The harmonic balancer on the engine can cause some weird vibrations and shudders through the car if its stuffed, check it out for wobbles or looseness,it should run true with no wobble visible.

Check your front suspension bushes for wear, particularly the radius rod bushes.

i had this problem, shudders when accelerating but once you reach higher speeds it seems to settle? i got wheel alignment and balancing, didn't solve it.. thought it had something to do with the wheels or suspension but it turned out to be a faulty coil pack, runs smoothly now.. hope you solve yours mate, pain in the backside but eh. jus my 2cents.. cheers and goodluck
