ok so i just got some vs v6 extractors pacemakers off a mate second hand but he didnt have the y peice. so can i just cut the standard y peice up and weld it onto it or something like that or will i have to get a whole new peice the extractors have a flange on it but the standard y peice doesnt.
Edit: also if i can cut and weld it on could i just cut some flanges off a old exhaust and weld it onto the y peice and bolt the extractors up?

i dunno if it helps but when i got mine done they were not pacies but the mechanic used the standard y piece installing them.
All you have to do is weld the flanges to the Y piece. Then bolt it to the extractors.Any exhaust shop will sell you the flanges. When I bought my pacemakers they came with these flanges for the standard Y piece. They just had to be welded on to it after the original Y piece flanges were cut off.
VS Pacemaker extractors don't come with a Y piece. The above comments are the correct way to fit them.
another quick question are they different ones for auto and manuel?
some are generic some are specific to auto and manual
the pacemakers are the same for auto and manual on a vs s1 and 2 ,i bought mine second hand and they come with a standard y pipe that had been modded to fit them just had flanges welded on ,but it had a gutted cat so i threw it away other wish id sell it to u soz mate
doing l67 conversion in my vs, i bought 2nd hand pacemakers but no y piece or flanges, just need to know what size pipe the std y piece is so i can buy flanges to weld up and get this exhaust finished
