Red face best aftermarket spark plugs and leads? [VR V6]

hey everyone, I have to change the spark plugs and leads in my VR,
wondering if it's worth getting performance ones?

what brands are good, types etc
anything else I should be doing when I change them?

    thanks

IMO I wouldn't worry about buying 'platinum' plugs that are like 20 bucks each instead just use ngk or bosch. However those are pretty cheap ^ but i have never heard of them.

Wont make any difference, unless you a got a race car, in wont go any harder with special 10mm Top guns leads or irridium plugs.
Just run the genuine bosch plugs and leads as they are also a Better Fit.

just use standard ones, i tried some of the other types of plugs but just went back to stock, not worth the money, same with leads. I just buy the stock bosch plugs and leads from supercheap. You can't ignite fuel more than it already is.

you can get the bosch platinum plugs from most repco stores for about the same price as standard ngk plugs. im running the bosch fusion plugs in my vr, they come in at roughly the same price as ngk iridiums

for your leads, i would say find some 8 to 10mm stainless leads.
i used to run 10mm top gun leads in my vt supa6. also msd coil packs go alright.
but if ur not lookin for supa fast passes then stick with bosch. they are quality and great price.

they are the round things that ur leads run to from ur plugs. 2 nuts on each, and then they lift straight off. easy as to do. from memory i think mine were about $400 for all three.

yeah pretty expensive, i don't think ill go for the performance ones here, i'd rather put that money in to better mods, exhaust or something.

I would suggest the standard NGK plugs are fine, I had platnium bosch and I never felt and difference in reliability. As for leads make sure you get the leads with the sheild and angle type connection. As the ones designed for the VN's and VP's are a silcon straight connection type that get very bloody hot and in my experiance tend to fail more often than those with the heat shields and are a angle type connection... I can get pics if you need more explaination!

I got Magnecor leads on mine (V8 but) 8.8mm and you get a 10yr replacement warranty.
They were a bit pricey though but with that sort of guarantee I'm pretty happy, stuck with the plain jane Bosch plugs.

Running LPG (+Crane Cam, zorst, etc, etc) and have had no probs at all.
