Vr Commodore Revving out

Hey, i have a 1995 VR Commodore,
My car is constantly revving out into first gear and not changing to second, it has also just started revving out in the transition from second to third.

any idea as to why this is happening??

Hi,check for any error codes.Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)Let us know what you find.

Check the fluid level in the transmission as it could be low, otherwise you have the signs of a worn out transmission unfortunately. I think if it was a solenoid it will go into limp home mode and turn the engine light on.
Sometimes one of those transmission treatments will make the bands/clutches grip better and give you a bit of breathing space.....but hopefully it's just low on fluid.
