    Default A/C not working.

Well, playing with the car today with the heater on went to press A/C for the cooling fan to turn on, press it, check fan, fan wasnt on.
Checked to see if the compressor turned on when I pressed the A/C button and no compressor clicking..
Would it be that the compressor has no power to it or no refigerant?
Dunno why the fan wouldnt turn on though?

Get the system checked and regassed, most if the time, if it hasnt been too long since it was working, thats all it will need.Mine stopped working and I got it regassed, its still working excellent 2 years later. You can get special dye put into the system with the new gas, then if it ever does get a leak, it will be easier to find.Regas+dye and system check cost me around $120.Well worth it to be able to sit in the cool on a filthy hot day.

If the weather was pretty cold when you turned the A/C on, the compressor would not start (as it's already cold). You can check to see if there is gas in the system by locating the nipples where they recharge the system - there will be a Schrader valve there and you just press the tit down momentarily to see if there is gas. If there is gas it may be a fuse or relay playing up (or gas still there but pressure too low)

It was a hot day so that kills the cold idea.

So did you check to see if there is any gas?

It's easy to find....located about 150mm or 6 inches directly below the radiator cap - it's like a short branch coming off the shiny aircon pipe and has a black cap - remove the cap and use a nail or whatever to press the tit - if it hisses loudly it may not need regassing...if it hisses softly it probably needs regassing - if there is no hiss then it needs regassing and repair which probably is the evaporator and costs over $1000 to instal/regas. Hope it has plenty of gas.

It has no gas in it... So I may need a new evaporator. Or atleast get a second hand one if possible and fit it..

    Default regas

You need to get it tested for leaks, they inject a green fluoro dye into it and pressurize system(mainly nitrogen) wont hurt system or enviroment, if leaks are present these will show as the dye is pushed out, you may have a drier problem or seals leaking on compressor or flange joint leaking, the evaporator sits behind the dash, the condensor is near the radiator, the drier is roughly the size of a coke can at front of the engine bay usually with a sight glass in the top (about 5c piece size), have someone look at it and they can tell you what and where your problems are
