Live axel exhaust fit on IRS?

Lookin at buyin an exhaust system but they for a live axel vs and im pretty sure mine is irs, will it fit?

Well you need to be certain whether you have Live Axle or IRS. D'you know the difference?

And the basic answer is No, an IRS exhaust system won't fit on a live axle and vice versa due to the different nature of the rear axle cradle.

I sorta know the difference but im in thailand for a week so checking my car is kinda out of the question.

u could get it and cut it off before it gets to the axel ,it would be nice and loud

Being a VS Acclaim, they were optioned standard with ABS/IRS.

And no the exhaust's are heaps different. Live axle the exhaust bends over the diff. IRS it bends under the rear drive shaft.

So if i could see the exhaust from headers to tip without it bending under anything then it would be a live axel car yes?

well the bend is only very subtle on IRS setups (only to clear the drive shaft when the suspension is at full travel) Live axle has a very distinct bend over the diff. 99% sure your car is IRS though it was standard option on acclaims. it probably has the little badge beneath the radio.

You might be right there, there was a badge under the radio but 3 days after i got the car i took it off.
