    Default leaking injector.. ???

Ive just been doing some routine maintenance on my 5.0 ute replacing temp sender and service and noticed one of the injectors has a leak and is not sealed correct (sucking in air)
What problems could this of caused? poor economy etc??

I will be replacing the seal on the leaky injector this afternoon, but just wondered if this could of made any effect on the running of my engine

    Any thoughts or ideas ??

It will make the engine run terrible,(depending on how bad the leak is),especially the idle. The IAC(Idle Air Control) valve cant properly control the amount of air going into the engine. Also check for any error codes that may be set.Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)Im not sure what model you have but the error checking is pretty much the same.If any errors show up you can remove the battery for 5 minutes to clear them.

Ive already checked for codes and none came up. It still idle's fine and you wouldnt notice it at all.
I only noticed it whilst i was servicing the engine, i sprayed some wd-40 around each injector to check the seals and one was leaking.
Ive got the replacement seals ready to go in so the problem will be fixed soon.

If the leak is that small it wont do much at all then. Its definitely worth replacing them though, if one is leaking ,the rest are probably not far behind it.

The leak was big enough for the wd-40 to be sucked in as soon as it hit the injector, I will be replacing every seal whilst i have the fuel rail off.

when you say you replaced the seals are you just talking about the o-rings?
also... did you get new injectors or refurb'd ones? What did that cost ya if you don't mind me asking?
