    Default Leaking Injector/s

    I think I have one or more leaking injectors. When I stop the car and then later start it up, it cranks and cranks then splutters into life. Black smoke comes out the exhaust which is obviously un-burnt fuel that has leaked into the piston or intake manifold. The injector rack is still under pressure after stopping. Would I have to take out each injector and if so how do you test them for a seal or would the damage be obvious? Are they hard to get out without damaging them?
    After the car has be idle for a few days, it starts first crank. The car runs fine when running.

    with the car at idle spray some wd-40 around the base of each injector, the leaking one will suck the wd-40 straight in.

    Wouldn't the problem be inside the engine on the nozzle tip??

    this will tell you if your injector seal has gone... it will suck in air past the seal

    best way is to connect a fuel pressure gauge into the system and see if it drops when you switch the car off.
