    Default Help !!! Flywheel vs ecotec do i i have to machine

    i have a vs v6 witha manual conversion ive fitted but havent driven yet cause iam waiting on my haltech e6gmx now i threw out my auto starter plate and have jsut recently read some people balance them and some people dont what do i need to do

    i am hoping i should be ok what would be the worst case scenario then the best ?

    Can't machine Ecosmeg flywheels. You'll find it even says as much on the flywheel itself.

    Edit: Also don't bump a 10min old post FFS....

    It is always good practice to get a flywheel machined, however if the ecotec's cant be machined then i would follow that advice.
