Help E6gmx Haltech
i need to know if the haltech e6gmx comes with base maps to suit a vs v6 ecotec manual
so i can start it and drive it with standard parts
So many have bought them that are on this forum i thought sumone would know
Did you ask Haltech?
Look, you said that it's running on standard parts now. Did you throw the original ECU away or something? Can't you just use the original until you find out?
Even better yet, why don't you ask in the tuning section?
nah i have just converted my car to manual change the loom and everything i dont believe i can start it on the auto and i have bought a e6gmx waiting for it to come in next couple of days
It's driveable on the auto. But better to get the auto chip tuned for manual.

He's saying you can use the auto ECU and memcal if the Haltech doesn't come with base maps. Kinda useless having a Haltech with no tune (as you mentioned in your first post).Originally Posted by redvsberlina

From memory there were enough basemaps included to get vn vengeance driving to its first haltech tune.

It fits VR VS but you need the manual loom. You say you changed the loom so it should just plug in.
no icalled haltech 98% of the vs manual looms have 3 connectors it has to be two which originated in the vn and apprently started changing in the vr dont ask why so u have to change the loom according to there tech support
Keep your loom and have the plugs changed properly.
i have isntalled the vn loom it starts and runs just rough as guts and idles high
