    Default VS Statesman Foglights

    Hey Guys

i want to put foglights in my VS Statesman im pretty sure i got the wires going from the button to the fuse box under the bonnet... and the i got wires that go from the fuse box and they just stop at the headlight with a plug there,Can anyone tell me if there is another wire that plugs into the one at the headlight and goes down to the wires off the foglight..

here is the plugs that stop at the headlight

    Thanks

not to sure about the statesman but i would think its the same as the commodores, the 2 plugs on drivers side near the head lights are for thermo fans, one is for the thermo fan on V6 models (not in-use on 5.0 but still in the loom) and the other goes to the smaller thermo fan that some have infront of the air con rad.

To properly test the plugs and if they are in fact for the fog lights.
Press the button to the on position and get a test light and test for power at the plug.
The power on the test light should go on and off when pressing the fog light botton.
This indicated that’s the loom for the fog lights.
    Test both sides.
And if they are for he fog lights the plug on the diagram is a male connector and you can buy female connectors
and crimp the female pins and slide it in the connector which mates to the male connector
make sure the wires are thick enough for the current draw.

His car didn't have factory fitted spotties, so he might not have the button in there.

its a bit hard to see where exactly those plugs are in your loom that you put pics on of, but there are defo 2 spare plugs on the 5.0 to the left of the rad as you stand in front that are for thermo fans.

If you have a plug either side theres a good chance they will be for fog lights

The thing that put him off that, is the spotlight has a different plug. Or is there another loom that plugs into that loom, and then into the spotlight itself?

the pictured plugs are not foglight ones.
follow the loom that goes over the headlight they should be wrapped up around there. they have a long appearance with two circular holes in the end.

hard to explain but whenever ive seen them they have been black.

    hope this helps
