hello everyone,
noticed today that the stitching on the rear headrests of my calais have ripped,
ive seen this on many many calais models like mine...
my question is, can an upholsterer fix this?
and would they be able to do it with the rear seat backs still in place, or would all the material and leather have to come off?
has anyone had this repaired?
Yeah, happened with my old stato interior. What happens is due to sun exposure the leather on the back shrinks a bit and/or hardens. This slowly pulls the stitching out.
To fix, an upholsterer would probably need to take the leather skin off and put through the sewing machine, as most of the stiching is on the back (not visible) side of the leather.
I can recommend a good and cheap trimmer if you're in SA.
anyone else have any thoughts
