Default VS Statesman 5Ltr Transmission problens.

    Hey guys,

I just high pressure cleaned my Stato's motor, and around the trans.
Now It won't kick back into gear, and is real slughish and Shifts REAL HARD.
Wasn't doing this before the clean so i'm assuming it's something to do with water or something?

    Thanks guys.
    Deneo.

If you cannot disassemble all electrical connections in that area, I would saturate them with WD40 or similar. Also remove the VSS if possible as it's probably wet....shake to dry. Leave overnite with a fan on high under the car pointing in the direction of the trans.
Time hopefully will dry it all out.
I'd also run the error code check to see what's shorted out.

You might have to get under the car and check for any wires or plugs that have come apart from the water pressure. Also water could have gotten into the plugs or wiring and shorted it out.Try resetting the ECU/PCM by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes.Try checking for any error codes before disconnecting the battery.Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)It might point you to what is wrong.

VSS is vehicle speed sensor - if it's wet it could be telling the trans the car is going faster than it actually is. Till it gets back to normal I'd keep the foot a bit further away from the floor as the electronics that control the transmission being wet are like a loose cannon ball....if you get my drift.

You may have a problem with your throttle position sensor. Error codes should confirm the problem area.
