    Default VS Advanced Timing

    Hey everyone my mate has a VL and was talking about advanced timing it i was wondering if it was possible to do the same to my VS he rekons ever since he had done it he has noticed much better performance from it,

    Having said that, you can get a memcal with advanced timing on it. But it's not adjustable via the hardware on the engine.

    yea memcal tune would do the trick but its not like the older motors where a twist of the dizzy advances the timing. Damn i miss tuning my carb motor haha!

    I wouldn't think that would make any difference as the ECU constantly advances the timing to the point of maximum advance by monitoring the knock sensors.
    But I could be wrong as my knowledge of how all this works would fit in a thimble.
