VN ECU chip

G'day all...

Funny one here. My mate has a HSV VS series 2 Statesman, and is haveing a bit of work done to the engine (cams, etc), and was told by his mechanic that if he replaces the ECU chip with one from a 5.0L VN, he'll get more power out of it, and a more agressive power delivery. Doesn't sound right to me..... is this mechanic dreaming?
