    Default Central locking aerial

Where is the location of the aerial? Does it run off the same aerial as the radio?

    Cheers.

Does it run off the same aerial as the radio? What aerial are you talking about here. The only aerial I can direct you to is the radio aerial in the front passenger side guard.

on the center of your dash it will look like a small button (about the size of a 10c coin)
I have no idea if vr had it there, but on vs' they are.

I think the aerial that picks up the CL signal is part of the BCM......under the dash above the steering column.

I'm pretty sure what you are talking about is the light sensor for the climate control in the higher models, not an aerial.

the small black button in the center of the dash is a light detector, in the absence of light (While the car is in acc mode) certain parts of the dash cluster will be illuminated, for instance if you go through a tunnel.

As Hako has said, the reciever is a part of the BCM, if you are really keen on extending the arial look up the circuit diagrams for your model BCM, they are floating around the internet.
