i have recently brought a executive series1 vs,
it had a crash at the front of the car wich means i had to replace the whole front end, there is a air con pipe that goes from the front of the car, through the engine bay then the firwall and it has got 2 metal bolts holding it on behind the dash.
is this easy to replace? cheers
Welcome to the forum.
Reading between the lines on your post, I'd guess you are replacing the condenser as well. You can get all the pipes you need from a wrecker which will be the cheapest way....however I'd first make sure everything is scrupiously clean as the tiniest speck of dirt in the lines can jam up the TX valve etc. Also bear in mind that the oil in the A/C is hygroscopic and becomes corrosive after being exposed to air. This can mean the compressor is rusted inside. The pipes you talk about also can freeze/stick onto the drier and condenser making removal difficult.
Check your costs first - all the bits you need can quickly add up plus you have the cost of new gas/oil.
Good Luck.
