    Exclamation Vr computer fried will memcal still be ok though

    hi guys i have got a new computer to suit my car , because the last computer

    i shorted it out and fried it , BUT question is will my old memcal be ok or will

    thats be fried as well

    its pretty hard to kill a memcal should be fine

    thanks delco i kew either you or foamy would answer this one , im pretty sure i fried my computer just by trying to wire up fans ?? and they shorted , is it really that easy to kill te computer just from one short . . . i tried to wire them into the blower relay in fuse box

    blower relay is for the interior fan

    ha ha ha shows how good i am with electrics lol i just went mad with the test light and found a live and tried to wire it in lol , i did earth it on the ABS unit just to test it out though ? what do you reackon has happend delco? , it primes pump and cranks but no spark . . and whe i try to bring up error codes it wont even bring up engine light when i bridge 5 and 6 pins

    if the pump primes the ecu is switching on at the least no spark would be power from the battery through the fuse and relay direct to the dfi and coils.did you check all the fuses both in the car under the stearing colomn and in the engine bay

    yeah mate have replaced all fuses and relays , aslo makes is making a clicking type noise from around throttle body area ??? might sound wierd to you ?? what do you reccomend mate ??

    will have a new one tommorrow morning mate , but it has no memcal so i just got to clip my one in. . . so u reackon it sounds like fried computer ay ???

    on manual the efi relay takes care of all injector and dfi power via the ignition switch and relays alone nothing to do with the ecu at all .im away from home and dont have the auto wiring diagram with me most likely the same setup.theres one main fusable link but its most likely not that if you have power elsewhere as it has all power to the ignition switch going through it so nothing would go.there is 2 other fuses and one relay in the circuit im still guessing fuse or relay one of those fuses has the main constant powers to the ecu as well

    if the oil pressure light comes on with ignition it rules out another fuse

    your in luck i have a diagram for vr auto from when i rewired plymouths vs to vr auto ecu for the turbo setup ide say fuse 25 if the oil light lights up

    were abouts is fuse 25 mate ??? all my labels have been peeled off or fell off gggrrrr

    in engine bay in front of the main big relay box is a second little rectangle black box will be one of the big lego block type ones in there blown you checked them
