Vr Power Steering Reservoir

I replaced the power steering pump in my VR, along with the hoses and the reservoir and the o ring, now instead of leaking at the back of the pump, it seems to leak from where the reservoir meets the pump. I have tried everything I can think of just short of using some type of sealer on the damn thing to stop the leak, anyone ever had this problem or have any ideas?? thnx

take the whole thing apart and check the res. for cracks and make sure the o rings in place. hope this helps ya

Sometimes the low press return barb fitting attached to the res tank can crack when attempting to remove the pipe. It usually snaps off all together. (been there done that!)

Another thing, is the res O-ring is a very thick unit compared to standard O-rings. I have only been able to find them at Holden Parts counters!

thnx guys i took the reservoir off again and replaced the new new o ring, turns out the idiot sold me the wrong one, got a new thicker o ring and so far so good. does anyone know of a good place to take my car for a blue slip, out west between penrith and blacktown is the area i need. thnx again
