    You heard wrong.

As for springs, the search button is there for your convenience - http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/search.php

Technically your wrong as it is easily possibly and unless your absolutely stupid whilst driving you will never have a problem. But its recommended to get new shocks for peace of mind.

But i better stop or itll turn into a flame war.

Well, yeah, you can technicaly run the standard shocks if you reaaally want too.

But yes, like you mention, trapping springs may be a problem, and your shocks will die prematurely. Dropping it 2 inches without a shock change is more than pushing it though, I do it for more than "peace of mind" though, it's more of a "common sence" thing.

Just do it properly, I'm a student on f**k all wage, I could still afford it, even if you only get rear shockers, fronts arent AS neccessary.

wouldn't that just become a real bitch to drive? anyway.. $700 can get you 4 new shocks and springs.. and if you're poor.. a lot of places now have an interest free financing option
