I think a whiteline brace sells for 2-3 hundred dollars. They are great value, whiteline will have one to fit any commodore. maybe they dont fit factory supercharges 6's, but thats about it, should fit the rest.

A whiteline strut brace should set you back about $165, well thats what i paid for mine. I got mine from autobarns dealer, however they dont sell to the public anymore because too many people were cutting out autobarn so they cracked the shits. Try the whiteline online shop or some of your local performace dealers.

i went to order the brace online today but noticed they have a mid mount front strut brace and a rear mount front strut brace... whats the difference and which should i get for a VS S3 5.lt ute?

the product numbers im referring to are: KSB502A(mid mount) and KSB610 (rear mount) on the whiteline website.

you want the front mount strut brace, thats the one that goes in the engine bay. the rear mount brace goes on your rear strut towers in the boot, cuts boot space and impossible if you have a sub or anything like that.

I believe the difference is where the brace mounts are, as the front mounts pretty much at the centre and the rear mount is towards the firewall more in order to clear any throttle bady or manifold that might be obtruding. Send them of an email and request pictures might be eaier than trying to get an explanation.
