Question VS Commodore Sensor Problems ???

Hi, i am new to this site. I am wanting to know if anyone can help me.

I am having Problems with my VS Commodore.

A few weeks ago my Fan Belt snapped and wrapped around the bottom Pulley, which snapped the crank angle sensor and destroyed the bottom pulley.

I replaced the Fan Belt, Bottom Pulley, and Crank angle sensor. Since doing that i have been having troubles with the car stalling at lights, and when it does stall it starts straight away, and also it is miss firing.

This morning i have done the check on the error codes, and i am getting Code 47.

When i brought the Crank angle Sensor, it was new in the packet. Is it possible i have brought a faulty 1 ???

    Thanks Steven.

possible yes. also possible that in destroying the sensor the belt also wiped out the wiring, which would present the same issues

I checked the wiring and all seems to be good. Do you think it could have something to do with the Coil Pack?

Also check you have the correct balancer pulley for your engine number/VIN.

Edit....series 1 and series 2 VS models have a different harmonic balancer.

Disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes to clear any logged codes.See if that makes any difference.

Did you sort out the sensor and error code problems?
