Check for any error codes Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised) Also see if you can borrow a coil from a mate and try it where each of your 3 go.(the cylinder numbers on them dont matter, they are all the same coils.)If you do find one is stuffed, its a good idea to replace all 3 at the same time. And try to use genuine ones.

Is it V6,if it is there should be 3 coils,2 plug leads going to each single coil.

Could be a dodgy spark plug in the new ones. Unplug one injector at a time, just pull the plug off, if you pull one of and the misfiring stop then you may have found your culprit, engine will still be rough though, since it will only be firing on 5 cylinders.

Test the coils like I said, they are a common cause of misfiring.Especially when they get old. They wear out just like anything else.If they have the cylinder numbers on them ,they are the original coils.New ones dont have the numbers.

Borrow a coil from an engine thats running fine,You can check the coils with a multimeter, but Ive seen them show up ok on the multimeter and still cause misfiring.Mark the numbers on each of the leads (masking tape is good for this) ,and draw a diagram on paper of what number lead goes to which place on each coil.

Its the firing order for the engine which is 165432 for a VS V6.The leads have to go in this order.Cylinders 1,3,5 are behind the coils on the right side,1 being closest to the front of the engine, and cylinders 2,4,6 are on the left side,2 being at the front of the engine.Remember left and right are opposite when facing the engine from the front of the car compared to the normal drivers right side and passenger left side.

Standing in front of the car looking at the engine. Passenger side is 1, 3, 5. Drivers side is 2, 4, 6.

Again standing in front of car looking at engine, coil pack left to right goes 6, 3, 2, 5, 4, 1.

The numbers that are actually written on the coils wont be in the above order. They should be 3,6-left one,.The middle one should be 5,2, .And the right one should be 1,4.
