I recent spun the big end bearing in my 96 vs 5 speed,
i took it to get a new motor put in it,
the new motor is an auto motor and my mechanic said that i need a manual motor cause the auto wont fit the crank or something is that right?
Thanks Brendon
the flywheel will bolt up to the auto crank ok, i think what your mechanic is meaning is the auto cranks dont have any holes for dowell pins as used in the manual flywheel
your mechanic could probably get the dowell pin holes drilled into the auto crank
have a read of the link below

Just out interest, how did you spin the bearing - how many K's, overheat?...oil used etc etc.
Thanks.
only had 89,000 on it dont think they must of been genuine but, it started heating up alot before it happened.
