Have a look on youtube, they actually have some good videos on there that show you how to prepare and paint the car. The biggest thing is not actually painting, it's sanding and prepping the surface.

Also what do you want to know, if you could be a bit more specific in what area you are having problems with.

dont waste your money on acrylic, its shite.

2pac is easier to use that acrylic and gives far far better results, if you know what your doing!!

    Agreed.

At the very least, if you are truely serious about spraying your car.. start doing some research, watch the youtube vids and get yourself a compressor + spray gun and practice on something.

If your asking questions like that, you should really leave it to the pro's. There is a reason painting apprenticeships are 4 (?) years long.

Nope it's because business's want to exploit young kids into working for next to nothing for 4 years despite after 4 years some apprentices know more than the boss!

you can do 2pac at home!! ive painted heaps of cars on the side at home for mates etc in sheds in garages under car ports etc when ive not had a spary booth available and i can get a factory looking finish every time!

If you got a car painted in 2pac that looks shit its because who ever painted it didnt know what they was doing.

You can't spray outside but you can spray in a shed or a car where it is enclosed but ventilated. You have to wear a mask you'd be stupid not to. As it is enclosed you will not get crap falling on your car while you spray.

painting in a shed etc you do get dust and the odd fly landing in your paint.. but with a good cut and polish you can take all the defects out! so long as you dont lacquer over a fly it will be fine! ie if it lands in the wet paint as its going off you can polish it out 9 times out of 10.

    Acrylic paint is shite..

M8 when you cut a clear coat/2 pac type finish you cut the clear layer in order to remove the imperfections which then shine through to the paint.

    Just, fail.

As for wearing the mask, yes, you'd be stupid not to. 2pac paint uses a hardner, get that in your lungs, bad things happen.

As for some 2pac looking "shizenhousen", get a good painter (and I mean really good), and you'll have it looking like glass. I'm only guessing here, but I think it's a lot more unforgiving than acrylic. The painters I know will only use 2pac.
