have you checked your starter motor, maybe the contacts are worn

If it's got fuel and compression then it's gunna be electrical.

Have you got a good spark with an old plug in the lead? (dont have hold of it)

    Could be your ignition module.

Backyard mech method yep old plug in a lead and spin the motor over see if you have healthy spark.

my vl did the same thing (i know i got a carbie and no injection) but i replaced the coil and now it starts first pop.

also the ignition modules on these things are prone to fail, there just like the dfi modules on v6's...

most of the time if thoes moduels are stuffed it wont start,

i would replace the coil max 80 bucks or more for a good bigger one...

Given the list that you have done already. I would simply go the whole hog and change the coil and ignition modual aswell. It has to be one of them if everything else is replaced. Unless its your fuel regulator blowing off too early.
