Hey guys, just got a vs 5L statesman.
Has a standard exhaust and i just want it a bit louder so i know it sounds like an 8.
If i remove the rear resonator will that help and make it nice....i think the current exhaust is 2 1/4 inch with a lukey muffler in the centre. Car is pretty quiet to drive around.
Dont really have much to spend and dont really want to spend much either.
How much louder would it be with the rear resonator removed?
How loud would it be with a 2.5" exhaust with just centre muffler no rear resonator.
Has anyone got similar setups that they have a video of that i could see and listen to?
Really appreciate it. At the end of the day i would just like a bit more noise but nothing too much since we have a little one in the back.
Cheers
removing the rear resi will cost you bugger all and should give you a reasonable note bud, back in the day a mate of mine and I took an angle grinder to the underbelly of the rear resi, sounded decent just with a hole cut in it. lol.
my vs 5L has pacemaker extractors, standard cat, 2.5 inch single pipe and 1 muffler then into a hotdog where the resonator would be, its damn near perfect. can barely hear it cruising at 100 unless i give it some but around town and at idle there is no mistaking its a V8. i've been pulled over a few times (just rbt's etc, not for being silly) and cops havent said a word
