hello everyone i need some help i have a 95 vs wagon with just the standard donk and a t5 gearbox on her and i have bought a 99 vs ute with yeah a few engine mods and a getrag gear box...
anywho ive swapped it all over ironed out all the issues except one the SPEEDO! now ive looked everywher on the net but no one seems to have done this gearbox swap that i can find ,, there are different plugs on the box so i pulled the wirin to the box out of the ute and plugged it in and ran it to the computer and made it work there and was hoping for it to work..... mmm no it didnt, theres two different plugs on the box but one of them should be working fine whatever it does i just changed the style of plug on the wire and plugged it in but yeah this new box on the old wiring loom it has 3 wires and the new one only has 2 wires so yeah i cant just change the style of it if u get what i mean???
now if anyone could help me it would be muchly appreciated just ask me if you have any questions bout it ... i prolly didnt explain it real awesome but yeah see if u could help me?? cheersss matty.

If it was me, I'd start with a wiring diagram for both the wagon and the ute. Otherwise you are just stabbing in the dark.
Not sure where you can get a ute wiring diagram but the wagon is in Gregorys at your local library.
well what did you swap over because getrag computer wont read speedo output from t5 and vice versa same as with the auto's they use a different way of sending pulses to the ecu

ah k k yeah i mite try and get onto a set of wiring diagrams,, yeah i swapped the computer from the ute into my wagon too but yeah still unsure of where to go with it,,,, cause yeah i have the new cable installed from the box to the new computer but now i guess it needs a wire from the computer to the dash or somethin??
sure does theres a violet wire to the dash from the ecu the T5 runs 3 wires from the sender power earth and signal the signal goes to the ecu pin and is then sent to the dash the getrag has 2 wires going in and one out to the dash my bet is its in the wrong hole for the dash wire
