Hey all, i want to fit mesh in the gap in the front bar because im sick of looking at my ugly radiator (browney black with red paint on it ..dont ask) im not into the whole mesh thing but im taking my car to a show n shine this weekend and want to know how to put it on without seeing the clips or damaging the front bar as im going to take it off when i get a aluminium rad. cheers fellas
hahahahaha too funny.
i seen a vz ute getting around with that stuff you can buy from supercheap, it didnt look to bad.
I bought a calais bar insert and fitted the mesh to that (urethane to hold it in) then fitted the insert.
Used black mesh so it is hard to see. Just wanted to keep the bugs out.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
I used silver mesh. It actually looks alright when done neatly.
I reckon it looks awesome...I've been wanting to do it for a while...get it looking like this
Mine looks the same as above. I used a bead of grey sikaflex so as it blended in. Whatever you do try to get something the same colour as your paint.
Inevitably some will seep over the edge and be visible up close. I'm picky as hell. Unfortunately it doesnt come in many colours so if your doing it to your car just use the black stuff, it's close enough. The beauty of it is it can be pulled off at any time with no damage.
