put sum vx gts wheels on my vr and the the tyre sidewall is hard up against the shock
tyres are kumho u31 245/35/19
im running 235/35/19 on my vs ute with no problems at all but with dirty dog rims.
any 1 had any problems with 245's on front of vr??
you can adjust your camber slightly so it clears the front shock, then it will be fine. Ive ran 245's on the front of vr and vs for a long time with no problems.
is it rubbing cause of the offset of the vx gts rims?? there genuine rims too, tyres need replacing soon anyway, thinking i should just get sum 235's for the front and 245's for rear, that should fix the problem yer??
offset should be fine i think, you can run 245's you just need to adjust the front camber, get a wheel alignment done when you get new tyres and all will be sweet.
i got 245/45/17's on my vr had no wheel aligment done on it as it had one a week before i put my tyres on it and it cleared no problem kinda odd
and please dont nock my bad spelling
yer i dont want to mess with the camber yer i dunno wat the deal with my car and this combo is....
odd question is urs a series 1 of series 2 vr?
series 1 exec
If they are original 19" wheels they will be a +48 offset. Generally aftermarket wheels are a +45 offset. I know it's only 3mm...but its 3mm further away from the shock. Check your load rating on your tyre placard, if the minimum load rating is <=91 then you should switch to 235/35R19's all round.
My VS SS has VE SSV wheels on it 245/35/19 with lovels eliminator suspension and super low springs all round.
wheels don't scrub out or rub on anything even with a full car load

think we could make this work on a VR all the BMW snobs do it to theirs. just need to know where the OE etc is on the commo eprom compared to the BMW's then we can all haqve two tunes easy and cheap as![]()
Making and running DUAL CHIPPED ECU SINCE 2010
Usually run 245's on the back, 235's on rear. But going to run 235's all around on my next tyre change (getting Nankang NS2 18")
Ive got 17's here with 235/45 all round which makes sense for ease of swapping tyres around for different wear patterns, they also have the rim saving lip which would almost be the equivalent of 245's and it clears the front strut by like 2mm and it will occasionally scrub on the back with a load whilst going to quick around corners![]()
ive got 19 on minee and running 265 on rear it looks toughhhhhhhh
235/40/18 no scrubbage VS s2 lowered, harshest ride!
never scrubeed ever no wheel spaces ive got that thingy that adjusts the camber im sitting on a massive camber so i dont really know why it doesn't scrub ill send pics to prove it if u like
is camber bad? cuz my back wheels are like fully tilted
