With the car running at idle check the voltage with a multimeter it should read between 13-14 volts.
If its under then the alternator is no good. If the alternator is over charging say like 15-16 volts
Turn the car off straight away if it keeps running at this voltage it can damage the PCM and other electrical components because of the higher voltage and chnge the alternator there cheap and easy to fit.

Was it a brand new alternator?
And what plug do you wiggle?
The Regulator could be stuffed up.
The Regs job is to stop the voltage going to high. And regulates the voltage to expectable level 13-14

you got two lots of wires, your red one that bolts onto the back of the alternator, and one that has a plug that goes on the top of the alternator, the one with the plug on it, ive evan tried changin the black box over from alternator to alternator, so im stuped, and the vr has a little box earthed out and plugged into the back of the alternator as well, i changed that over as the s1 vn alt i had to use does not have 1

Well maybe the pins on the plug are not making contact properly or are dirty.
The black box is the regulator. Make sure the plug and regulator are making good contact when plugged in.
